Welcome to my portfolio! This is a collection of some of the work I completed while earning my Masters Degree in Education: Instructional Technology at San Jose State University from 2006-2008. My goal of attaining an MA in Instructional Technology was influenced by my interest in technology and teaching as well as a desire to know more about how Instructional System Design (ISD) influences the learner experience.
The title of my portfolio: From School to Work: Instructional Technology Fits is appropriate as my work demonstrates instructional design application in the school setting as well as in the business setting. Specifically, this portfolio shows my expertise in my focus area of design and development of instructional materials while using a variety of media and software applications. And, the projects in this portfolio serve as an example of my growth as an instructional designer as well as a life-long learner. My resume is below.
Many of the projects in this portfolio were influenced by and created for my work as an educator in the public schools. Some projects, especially the theoretical and research based papers, were created to demonstrate my skill level in specific areas of instructional design. Some of the projects were created to be used in the business world by the target audience. One example of a theoretical paper I wrote for EDIT 221: Research Seminar in Instructional Technology is Technology Integration and Environmental Education.
This website design is my own creation and is another example of my ability to use design theory and innovation to develop a tool for sharing my professional IT portfolio. Please use the links at left to see descriptions and examples of my work and the connections each of the projects has to the AECT standards. Projects can be viewed by clicking on the thumbnails at the bottom of each page or by clicking the text links. I hope you will enjoy my work!
